John,
While I've never flown a STD, I suspect there is a good bit of difference in
touchdown speed and mass.  I was kind of joking about the pads being
near-new pad except for the cracks.  After a few landings and some taxing, a
number of the pads would crack from the rivet holes to the outside, even
though I tried to not overstress the rivets when they were put in place.  I
suspect it was an either/or rivet stress/heat stress that contributed to
cracking 'em like a sidewalk.

I wouldn't even GIVE you the cracked ones but will check to see if I have
any uninstalled ones left, which I will give you.

Sounds like there is a big difference between the XL and STD when it comes
to braking
needs and pad life.  When solo, my SRG is light in front and my canard
mushes during
stall, so I don't worry about the nose coming down hard and I approach stall
speeds at
landing.  My SRG has 300 hours, 100 by me.  Doesn't seem like the pads are
wearing
much.  I might be interested in your pads, assuming they are the same as
mine.  Of
what significance are the cracks.
