In California the yearly "Joint Consolidated Tax Bill" for Los Angeles County 
is as follows for my two aircraft.
1975 Cessna 172M.  Valued at $39,400 is $574.98 this year.
1995 Velocity RG.  Declared value $33,000 (what I got away with declaring kit 
and some components.  Built 100% myself.) is $481.59 this year.

Basically 1.460246% declared value per year.  Once more "Purchased" Velocitys 
get in there system, I'll be screwed.
