Yea, I personally NEVER use my cell phone while airborne, you know -
because
the FAA says not to and all,    so I just can't figure how that service
would do me any good......  :0

Had a complete electrical failure a half hour to the end of a long cross
country, while in contact with flight following. As I got closer to the
Class C, I called on my cell phone and the tower cleared the area and me
for the approach.
My new radio/ intercom panel has one of the 3 audio inputs dedicated to
the cell phone. 
Note: Unfortunately my handheld battery was also dead.
