If you have too.  The further forward your gear is the easyer it is to take
off and land.In a Velocity it is always a compromise between this and falling
on your tail.

If you can find a 250 lb engine, I can make you some super light wings, then
put a small battery and oil cooler in the back....the 1000lb Velocity.....
Less can be more.
