Vance,
There are no members of the Velocity Owners and Builders Association in Germany. There is a record of a possible Velocity builder in Germany named Kai Zimmerman. I don’t know how to get in touch with him, though.
If anyone has a list of Velocity owners or builders in Germany, please send them my way and I’ll add them to our community map.

Hey to all you canardians,

two weeks ago we had the airventure of Germany, the AERO of Fridrichshafen. The one and only aero exhibition in Germany.

I've been hot for many years for a very specific engine, so I kind of camped on the Continental exhibition booth for about two days (pictures and the promotion-datasheet of my desired engine will follow in a separate topic the next days), and also did ask a lot of tough questions to the guys at MT-Propeller right across the next aisle to Continental, as I do have a noise problem with a pusher design in Germany. (MT claimed they may have a solution to make the prop maybe quiet engough as I got a max rpm of just 2300 so they claimed to reduce the airfoil profile on the tips so there should be less vortexes departing the tips, so no, no winglets, and due to a sickle desging the turbulent air shoulndt have that impact in noice. We will see if that will get me below the hard German noise requirements for most of the airports. It IS a certain way to spent lots of money :-( testing different prop designs, i may test this first with wood fixed pitch props, but thats still some time until im going to test anything :-) )

Well, while there, I did hear some rumors of ongoing projects with noise quietening, I would like to follow up, since I got this problem. It was about three gentlemen who are owning all the same brand of canard aircraft named Velocity AND do work as Captains for the same air carrier. From what I did understand, its one of the big airlines who do seem to train theirs pilots themselves. But this was about all the information I could get.

Unfortunately I have absolutely no clue about their names or contact details.

I do seek to get in contact with one of them or better get all three. If you are on this list, or anybody may knows or guesses whom I am talking about, please forward me some contact details or give them a heads-up to please contact me.

I do positively think, that the fact that each of them is of owning/piloting a Velocity, being a captain and working for the same air carrier should bring it down to just a few people, who I then have to ask if they are the right one.

So does anybody know of whom I am talking?

If so, please let them know I would like to talk to them, or kindly forward the contact details to me.

Thank you so much.

Cheers
Manne
