REFLECTOR: AOA / Pitot tube and electric to the wing tips

I mounted a RiteAngle AOA on the side of the plane, under the canard as instructed by RiteAngle.  I have found this AOA very helpful for maintaining the right speed and AOA in the pattern and on final.  Pictures are available for anyone that need to see module and vane placement.

I would like to have an AOA indicator for a lift reserve indicator.  I've had two hard landings now due to low airspeed.

I've been through a thought experiment with this, and have come to the conclusion that an AOA indicator mounted to the fuselage indicates the stall of the main wing.  Unfortunately, we are interested in the stall of the canard.  To make such a device work, the data must be integrated with the elevator position, and the information calculated to report the lift reserve for the canard.

Electrical wires:

fan blade wood drill bit attached to plastic tubing.  Position the wing such that gravity causes it to stay in the plane you desire.  I think my wings were already prepared. This is the method I used to drill a channel in the canard for taxi lights.

Good morning all!

I've got two quick questions I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on.

First, for anybody who has installed an AOA pitot tube (eg. Garmin or Skyview), the requirement is that it be mounted conventionally, e.g. hanging down.  Where have you all put it?  Most of the V pictures I see have the pitot tube mounted to the side of the fuse.

Other question: I've got a set of fast build wings and I don't see any allowances for running electrical wire to the wing tips for wing tip lighting.  How are you guys getting electrical out to the wing tips?

TIA,
Peter
