REFLECTOR: Dual Frequency ELT Install

I am installing a 406/121.5 ELT in my Velocity. It seems the previous owner never put one in.


How are Velocity owners handling the antenna portion of the install?

I would mount the unit as directed and just leave the portable mode antenna mounted if I knew it would operate correctly in a horizontal plane.


Pretty much the same with the remote antenna and coax arrangement. I could mount that horizontal and use the firewall as the ground plane. 



How is this being addressed?
