REFLECTOR: Mounting position lights

I would exchange that system for one that is better adapted to our construction techniques.

I used the Aveo which is held by a machine screw through the outside. I cut some thin aluminum to the profile of the light and added two nut-plates. I filled the threads with silicon and then embedded them at the mounting position followed with a couple plies of BID.


It’s easy to clean out the threads with a drill bit twisted with your fingers.


While the set you have purchased appears to be fairly nice looking, it does not lend itself well to our construction methods.


My suggestion: Bite the bullet and get something more appropriate.
