REFLECTOR: WING stands for painting?

Yep,
Most all of the planes (some are award winners) on my website www.freeflightcomposites.com were painted on our airport (KFLY) by the same shop.  They always want the wings and canard on the airframe.

It probably depends on the painter. If doing it yourself, mounting the wings off the plane is a good idea. My shooter wanted to paint the wings with them installed on the plane. I objected, but he said he had experience with lots of planes painting upside down. He used a rolling automotive cart to shoot the underside. Bottom line, the job came out perfectly.
