Thanks Larry.
My empty CG is back at 129". Moves to 124" with me and test fuel. Looks like I will have to do some ballast calculations.

In discussions with Scott Swing, the aft limit has been moved progressively further aft over the years. This was the factory recommendation. I would confirm with Scott Swing.

hmm. That's odd. My flight manual says that the AFT limit is 120.75", and the Forward limit is 115.
I am working on my spreadsheet information, It would be nice to compare it to another 173 just for comparison.

Your should make your own measurements. The Datum is the nose. FWD CG limit should be 123 and aft 115.

Well, I just finished all the weighing of my 173 FGE. I am running all the numbers now to see what I am dealing with. My manual does not show what the Empty CG should be for a 173. I looked on the Velocity website, and I don't even see the W & B section in the on-line manual. Anyone have some reference numbers or point me to where I missed them?
