REFLECTOR: Dc 24 v to 12 v converter

Hi Rene

You are really not converting anything as it is all DC. What you need is 
a 24V transformer with a center tap to give you two 12V outputs. You 
problem will be the 15 amps as that will create a lot of heat to 
dissipate so the winding on the transformer is going to have to be 
fairly large.
