Hmmmm. Maybe it is just my world view, but I see no need for sarcasm when replying to someone who is proffering advice, even if one disagrees with the advice.

I took a different approach.
I installed an "NO" (Normally open) Solenoid valve at the exit from each strake tank and a mechanical shut off valve between the sump and the firewall. When the solenoid valve is powered, it closes. without power (normal position OR FAILURE) it is open. They cannot fail closed.
There is a horizontally mounted rocker switch mounted on the panel Labeled: LEFT ONLY---BOTH--RIGHT ONLY. When you select a tank, the opposite side valve is powered. The intent is to fly with the switch in the "BOTH" position, the majority of the time.
The mechanical valve is connected via a cable to the panel where there is an actuator labeled "FUEL SHUT OFF-EMERGENCY USE ONLY". Pulling this will close the valve. The cable is not intended to re-open the valve in flight (although in reality, it seems to be able to move the lever enough to do so).
Now that I am flying (I LOVE SAYING THAT!), I have found that this system is logical and reliable. In the first 5 hours of test flying, where I needed to stay within gliding distance of the airport, I was doing a lot of circles and therefore developed a fuel imbalance during the flights. I just selected the tank with the excess fuel until they were even. Worked great.
Photos show panel (before labels), Upper right knob is pull cable for fuel shut off. (want to change to red knob). Horizontal switch with out switch cover is for tank selection.
Solenoid valves are the 2 upright brass valves mounted above the sump tank on the aluminum bracket.

I noticed that Velocity sells the Andair valve pictured below.
Has anyone on this forum used this valve? This is the same setup I'm installing (Left/Right/Both/Off.)

Well several things come to mind:
Are you the pilot in command or not?
That’s what seat belts and car seats for
Pretend you are DELTA Airlines. (Don’t Even Let Them Aboard.)
Hey wait a minute, they might grab the mixture control!
They could open the door.
