back in the day, Steve did my first Velocity check out for me.   He and I had mutual friends in northern California..he will be missed.

Many of you may know Steve Murphree who has done inspections, first flights, maintenance and training for several Velocities.

As former Velocity owners, residents of Dayton Valley Airpark - A34, and neighbors and friends of Steve and especially his parents Mack and Hilde Murphree, we are saddened to relay the message of the tragic accident at our Airpark this Tuesday when Steve Murphree died in a crash of Don and Carol Phillips BD-4.  Our hearts go out to Hilde Murphree and her family.  The Phillips are also residents here.

It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I send you this message.

You may, or may not know, that Steven was killed in an airplane crash on Tuesday afternoon.


FOR ALL OF STEVE'S FRIENDS:
Our family thanks each and every one of you for all the love and support you have given us during this most difficult time.

Steve's Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 2PM at Walton's Chapel of the Valley
1281 North Roop St.
Carson City, NV 89706

We invite you to participate in his memorial if you wish to speak about Steve.

A small reception will be held immediately after at the chapel.

Please share with us here on Steve's Facebook page any favorite photos and memories you may have of Steve so that we may create a tribute to him for Tuesday.
