REFLECTOR: Fuel Lines

I would avoid the tape.   Use liquid thread sealant if appropriate for your fittings.   The tape can come apart and plug up the fuel lines.  
I recently added a fuel flow gauge and the instructions spent a whole page on telling me not to do that.

Question for the collective.  I'm finalizing my fuel lines (cabin side of FW) and wanted to ask about the use of teflon tape (or other type) on the threaded connectors.  Is this a good idea or not, is Teflon the correct matl to use, etc.  Also, is there a recommended torque value used to tighten the connectors?  All experiences are welcome.

Does any one know of a trick to make the door seals softer?  My kit is over 14 years old and I think the rubber door seals that came with my kit are to hard now. The door closed fine before I installed the seals now I can not get the pins to insert into the latch .

I don't know about making the existing door seals softer. I went with seals from McMaster-Carr. Extremely soft and seal pretty much air tight.

I got a couple feet of different thicknesses to determine the best fit.

93085K13 & 93085K81 worked best for me.
