REFLECTOR: Low Fuel Warning Sensor False Reading: SOLVED?

I originally tapped the sump for a mechanical sensor. When I went to
this sensor, I inserted I believe a brass bushing with NPT tapered
threads. The sensor is some sort of plastic, with parallel threads, so
I put teflon on, and secured it as if it were also tapered. It doesn't
leak.
