REFLECTOR: Hinge gap

Well, 


I made sure the hinge pockets were plenty big. I also used the method using AN111-3A terminations at the rudder horn.
My rudder horns are stock. 
I fabricated an extension to the rudder pull lever in the cabin. Slides inside the other tube and is bolted in place. This increases the travel on the rudder cable, while also making it easy to deploy. 
Just another way of doing things. Works great.

I rounded the aft/outer edge of the tip sail so that the        rudder wouldn't bind or chip the paint when fully deployed.

I notched back the trailing edge the prescribed 1/8".               While things look like they'll work just fine, it looks              like that will leave a gap of about 1/16" which doesn't              seem horrible, but should I notch further to try to close              the gap even further?
