REFLECTOR: EI trouble shooting manual

I agree very good read. I have been working a problem with this info for a week. Certainly helps focus on the most likely cause. Mine was the sudden appearance of 230 degree increase in #2 Cyl EGT on an ILS approach. CHT, power unchanged. No RPM DROP. Smooth engine with IO-540. 
Read the diagnostics and found a fouled lower wire plug, clean injectors, balanced fuel flow, clean spider and no detectable intake air leaks. Mag check ok. 
Cleaned plug now only 140 degree difference with previous 60 degree EGT spread between all cylinders. I also found the end of one EGT prove broken off in the last 3/8".  Will install the new probe today. I've ordered new intake rubber hoses and intake gaskets but hope they are not required. Factory reman engine now 12 years old with 670 hrs. This handout from EI is great. I use their probes and their MVP-50 engine gage.
