REFLECTOR: i pad / radio noise

The most likely culprit is a bad ground on the wires supplying your 12 
volt outlet. Possibly creating a ground loop.

Next on the list is your charger/adapter.  Your alternator/regulator  is 
probably not putting out a smooth 12vdc which may be coupling with the 
adapter in a bad way.

Last on the list of culprits would be the actual device, iPad, android 
tablet, phone etc causing a problem.

I've used a large android tablet for years in my plane with no problems 
in the com radios or nav equipment.
