Just so everyone knows - Scott Swing told me in an email some time ago: "Don't cut more than 1" off of them or you won't be able to get to them to pull them out. I normally go for about ¾""

It would be interesting to know if John did cut off more than 1"....

John Abraham did my initial test flight. He cut about 1 or 2 inches off the springs, bent a new hook, and reattached the spring. Both springs have worked perfectly for 2 years. They never flap and always stay put.

Since my plane is down and getting painted I though I would add an extra spring to each of the winglets.
The factory spring works but not enough to keep it in when the wind is blowing . I had them flapping the other day
while taxing with a tail wind. So I was considering adding an extra spring to each winglet any thoughts.
