REFLECTOR: Low Fuel Warning Sensor - Header Tank

Scott,

My sump tank is fitted for the Gavazzi sensor. The diameter for this sensor
is smaller than for the factory float type so if you've already drilled and
tapped the insert (or installed the factory supplied insert) in the tank for
the float type, the light sensor isn't going to fit. I still have my factory
supplied float type sensor that I'll give you. Send me a shipping address if
you want it.

Thanks,
Ron Stacey

Subject: REFLECTOR: Low Fuel Warning Sensor - Header Tank

Filling the fuel tanks in anticipation of first engine start.
The low-fuel warning float switch (located in the header tank) is giving
false indications of 'low fuel' (it's an intermittent signal that is
associated with the magnet switch; not the float).
Two questions and an appeal to the group ...
1) Does anyone have a float switch they are able sell/loan me? (Velocity
factory has a 4 to 7-week order lead time) (will replace loaner with new
switch when it arrives), and/or
2) I believe some builders have installed fuel sensors that have no moving
parts - Are these working well? - if so, can you please share manufacturer
name and part number.
Many Thanks!
Scott B.
