REFLECTOR: Starter contactor

David,

I takes about 15' of #2 to supply starter current from the battery up front
to the engine compartment so it doesn't matter which end the starter
solenoid is connected to. Same wire same weight. My starter solenoid is up
front for a reason. That #2 wire is hot all the time your master is on and
if something comes loose and shorts it to ground, big trouble. With the
solenoid up front it is only energized during start and can't give you any
grief once you're up and running. It won't work any different with either
configuration but I think having the solenoid up front is safer.
