REFLECTOR: Carbon fiber hollow elevators?

Is there a consensus on if carbon fiber hollow elevators are a good thing
or bad thing?  I'd think they would be a little lighter and I also think
they would be easier to make.
What does everybody else think?

BTW, this was on Mark Morse's kit that I saw up at the Arlington airshow in
July.
