REFLECTOR: Re-Attaching Bottom winglets

I was referring to "Bob I".

By the way, the lower winglets came in handy. The first Elite was giving a "Demo flight", four souls on board, ran out of fuel, landed gear up off field. All four walked away. Plane required only minor repairs and a new MT prop.

The lower part of the rudderless winglet was then cut off in order to attached it to the main wing. Many layers of uni were used on both sides. Fast build wings did bother with putting the lower winglet back on. The first XL almost crashed on take off at Sun N Fun due to the lack of lower winglets.

The plane crash landed in a field 10 miles west of Sebastian, FL. A new nose and wings and another few weeks later Bob's Plane completed it's first flight.

At present the wings had reinforcement fiberglass layed that wrapped around the bottom and up the outside and then lt wt superfill on top. Any suggestions on what to do to install these winglets? Do I need to take out all filler and maybe the fiberglass reinforcement? What power tools would be suggested to remove the fiberglass layers? Then any suggestions for attaching the winglets?
