REFLECTOR: MT hub grease

Karl,
In follow up, to determine problematic wear relating to where the blades
mate with the hub ... wiggle the propeller tips fore<>aft. If you can
feel 'clunky' movement or if the blades wiggle (not warp) more than
3/16", then this may be an indicator that the blade connections need
repair/overhaul. A small amount of grease is considered normal. After
the blades are wiped clean, test fly the aircraft - if fresh grease
appears, a hub/propeller overhaul may be in your future. By the way,
700-hrs on a Mt- propeller without an overhaul is an outstanding service
record!
Best,
Scott B.
