How many adel clamps are you using? The cable on my airplane attaches to thr panel with a nut, travels down the left gunnel and is clamped one more time befor
the throttle attachment point. Too many clamps too tight will cause your problem.

Subject: REFLECTOR: Throttle cable problems
My Cablecraft throttle cable (lined with teflon) works fine in the
Vernier mode, but pushing and pulling is not as smooth and easy as I'm
accustomed to in certified aircraft. The distance from panel to engine must be a factor in velocities, and
maybe it's impossible to duplicate the smooth/easy feel of a Cessna. My
cable is attached at all points with adel clamps from front to back. My two bends (front and back) are nice wide radius turns.
Has anyone found the "ideal" cable that moves in and out easily?
Suggestions appreciated.
