REFLECTOR: Flush Fit Fuel Sender Pockets

I noticed you said Subaru. If you are auto fuel in Atkins sight gauges. It will melt them! Avgas only! I put them in back when he said they were impervious to all fuel. Then some additive went in to auto fuel.  He recanted, and our gauges melted.

Yes, technically, I do have a fuel (usage) measurement system built into my Engine monitor (Subaru) and it calculates the fuel used via the injector pulse duration and fuel pressure, and the Dynon is operating with a pair of fuel scan sensors  to cross check that, but I will still be pretty much relying on the sight gauges to see when I am getting low, nothing else.

The Atkins sight gauges work fine. Our XL has only JPI with sky's port fuel probes and it actually reads within a gallon on each side. A fuel sender that shows you what is going on makes it nice if you are flying a lot of IFR so you don't have to keep looking back over your shoulder but you sure can't beat a fail proof seeing is believing gauge.

Just FYI keep an eye on fuel level. Sometimes the orange ball can stick in the sight gauge.

Thanks, good info. I suppose one drills small holes and use tubes through the foam. My V is flying, interior complete, so this will be a retrofit.
