Actually, you just clear a small area of the foam down to the inner skin of the tank, and fill the small pocket with epoxy/micro (I used Jeffco/micro) then sand smooth, then install the back part, drill through the back panel, and the Jeffco slug and into the tank on top and bottom, then install the front panel- really easy.

Thanks, good info. I suppose one drills small holes and use tubes through the foam. My V is flying, interior complete, so this will be a retrofit.

I didn’t even bother to put in electronic fuel gauges- never seen an installation that would give truly accurate info anyway. I have just a nice pair of Atkinson lighted sight gauges- pretty tough to make them read wrong
