REFLECTOR: Aircraft data plate

The FAA requires only the airplane's manufacturer, model, and serial number on the data plate. The data plate that comes with the EAA's certification kit only lists those three things. The disadvantage of engraving the engine, registration number, gross weight, etc., on the data plate is that if any of those things change during the life of the aircraft, the data plate won't be correct.

  Try Aircraft Engravers. I made the engraving file for them and they made some of these for the Ken Baker before he left but no one seems to know what happened to them. They are expensive to get one offs so if there is an interest in a quantity buy, it would drive the cost down dramatically.
