REFLECTOR: What are you working on?

I thought I'd be flying by now, but in March I discovered that the used
500hr IO-360 I bought needed work.  Bad compression all around, so I took
the jugs off and found lots of corrosion and a badly spawled tappet.

So, a few months later, all my engine parts are back from ECI and I started
to reassemble the beast last weekend.  Its going very well and I should
have it ready to hang on the airplane this weekend.  There's a local guy
who builds race engines (airplane) who has a test cell.  I've got to call
him up and see what he'd charge to run my engine.  It would be nice to
ensure the engine's running well before first take-off, one less thing to
worry about when the wheels leave the ground for the first time.

I'm taking tonnes of pictures, so I'll be sure to post the complete
disassy/reassy process for my engine when I'm thru.

Now, I'm setting my sites on July to go for transition training and first
flight late July...No OSH for me, this year.
