REFLECTOR: Wing root stainless

I understand it's a good idea to protect the wing roots from fire with
stainless sheet just like that used on the firewall. Should I also put SS on
the wing "flanges" that bridge the span from cowling to wing root, or is
that a waste of time/effort? Any other "undocumented" shielding I should
consider in and around the engine to buy more time in case of fire?
