REFLECTOR: First flight of Dennis Martin's N767DG

Hard to believe, but that's me on my first circuit around the patch (U77 in
Utah). Started building in 1997 - I took several years off to make a
living. Early Dec. I went to Sebastian to get some hands-on experience with
John Abraham coaching me. I'm sure all the T & Gs got boring for him, but
he stayed with me until I figured it out.

My first flight last week was essentially 6 times around the patch getting
my trim system figured out. She flies smooth and straight with power to
spare. No major problems with my Chevy Odd-fire V-6. Engine temps continue
at or below 200 F. Oil temps went much lower this time (260 F) with the
scoop for my oil cooler placed where it should be. First landing was a
greaser - I'm sure a bit of luck was involved. One ss screw went thru the
prop - got that fixed. False warning light on speed brake. Got that fixed.
Love flying this plane. Only 34 more hours to go.
