REFLECTOR: Elec Ignition - Idle cutoff

If your talking about leaning the mixture until it cuts off the engine
yes. You should get a rise as specified for your engine, usually 50-75
RPM as the mixture goes from ROP through stoichiometric, LOP and finally
engine cutoff from lack of fuel.

If at a high altitude, 2000+ ft above sea level the rise should be even
higher.

The interesting thing about running one EI and one mag is when you cycle
the two systems at run-up! I get no drop in rpm when I turn the mag
off, and 100-125 rpm drop when I turn the EI off. Which in dual mag
setup would indicate a sick mag, but in a ei/mag setup is perfectly normal.
