If you use screws, the torx heads work pretty well.

I started with cam lock and bailed shortly after trying them . If the attachment point is to far away the cam lock does not engage I found this to be a big problem when I did it. Screws pull every thing tight . One size fits all . May be not as elegant
but works.

After reading some of the responses (thanks everyone!), I'm a bit confused about the additional lip or flange that some are referring to. Does anyone have any pictures of this?
And after looking at Camloc's, it occurred to me that they would extend down which would make it really difficult to slide the cowl into position. Or has someone figured out a way around that as well?
