REFLECTOR: elevator hinge

Yes, even though it is called an "elevator" in reality  it is a flap, and
the air needs to go from the bottom of the canard through the scoop/slot to
the top of the flap to keep the energy up on the top surface.

Preparing to install my elevators.  Look at the pictures attached.   Is the
torque tube really set that far aft... second photo?  The hinge point (on
the L bracket) is even with the trailing edge of the canard.  That gap in
front of the torque tube... normal?
