Have not had this problem.....but would it help to replace the screws with good quality socket head cap screws?

Thank you everyone... Great suggestions.
I was able to get the mag off tonight. whew... what a job.
I had flat screws holding on the harness cap (3) and had to take the top part of the cooling plenum off to get access.

Now... Mag to the shop and hopefully back in soon.

      Thanks again,

On my Franklin there is not enough room to remove the screws that hold the cap. I had to first remove the mag by pulling it back as far as it would go and tilting it up. Then I could remove the cap screws.

Be sure to pull the wire cap and assembly first (90' flat screw driver), that should just make it.

Hi All,
Ok.... I'm to the point I need to remove the Slick 4373 Mag from the
back of the engine on a Velocity Elite 173
I have 1 elec and 1 mag (mag on the right side if viewing plane from the
rear).
So my question is ... does anyone have any words of wisdom in getting
this thing off. (Very tight between the mag and firewall etc, etc, etc.)

Thanks,
Kevin Baker
