REFLECTOR: Getting ready to close out strakes

Before closing out the strakes, try this. Put duct tape on the strakes and
the surface, where ever contact is to be made. Then take marble sized balls
of soft clay and place them every 6 inches on all critical (outside) strakes
(I did all strakes). Then do a dry run of mating, taping and weighting.
This accomplishes two things: First it is a dry run. Second, measure the
thickness of the clay when you take the surface back off and you know the
thickness of the adhesive. If a ball doesn't squish at all, then you will
have a leak. I tried to make all the thickness near the same without being
anal by building up the strake at low points.
