Jeff,

I have had pretty good luck with out of the way auto electric shops just rebuilding my starters & alternators/generators. There is a guy down the road from me that knows about airplanes, and will still rebuild it for me. So far, none of the rebuilds have cost me more than 100 bucks... and none have ever had to go back.

I have on my Velocity a left hand Franklin... Yesterday when a prospective buyer was out here from Oklahoma (i'm in Ca.) Murphy's Law took place... I went to start my plane and nothing!!! I did some quick troubleshooting and found it was the starter solenoid. My starter is a automotive starter and was wondering if anyone had any Idea's of what type of starters are used on this engine... thanx Jeff
