REFLECTOR: Static RPM

Brian,

While I had the prop apart, I checked the worm gear and and spool. They
seemed OK and rotated smoothly from
one end to the other. I lightly coated the worm gear with Amsoil lite
synthetic grease then reassembled. I think part
of my problem is too much voltage drop across the long wires to the slip
rings. Fully charged battery, engine off,
moving from center only 11.5 volts at the rings. As the blades approach
either extremes, voltage drops to 9.3 volts.

John,
Thanks for the link. I will order a pair of springs tomorrow.
