REFLECTOR: Brake fluid

I think we are to use Dot 7 (Motorcycle) brake fluid as it is compatible with O-rings, etc in both the master and slave cylinders. I have MATCO brakes and that is what I use. In 10 years no leaks attributable to O-ring problems.

Subject: REFLECTOR: Brake fluid

Sorry if this subject has already been discussed to death. Im new so i just have
o ask.
hats the reason or benefits of using dot 5 brake fluid ?
t finally got cold (well somewhat) here in texas and both my cleveland brake
ucks started leaking. Both "O" rings look ok just a bit less than round. 5606
s a tad thicker and might not had leaked. Another issue i have is the calipers
ame with nitrile "O" rings and Im not sure dot 5 is compatible.
hould i replace with Nitrile or a different compound o ring
