Nate,

Have you looked into the newer type TBI carburetors such as
http://www.rotecradialengines.com/TBI/TBI.htm.
or http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/ellisoncarb.php
They claim not to be susceptible to icing with more precise fuel metering.
