Nice work Andy-

Actually, that is how they were originally designed, the factory changed it
about 8 years ago to just have the little gap- I like the way it looks
though- if I have some time, I might consider the same- you might want to
run those rivets ever ¾” or so just to make sure you don’t lose the door in
case of flutter, and I would put a little Teflon button on the corner that
rubs the fuse with maybe some SS tape for it to track on

I'm sure it won't add any speed, but I added a hinge and spring to allow the
very bottom of my gear doors to completely close. Pictures attached.
