  So I've stared at the template and re-read the instruction manual like a zillion times and I just can't seem to picture how the transverse bulkhead back in the pre-molded gear pocket works out.  Does somebody have a picture they might be willing to post?  I'm sure that if I could just see the thing, it would make sense ...
