I used a circle of speaker grill. The heat has caused accelerated crazing for a 4 inch area just above the exit in the windshield.

I have always thought that I would go to a junk yard and try to find an acceptable windshield deice grill register from some compact car, and adapt it to my glare shield. Just haven't done it yet.

Not easy to do when only looking out the side windows. Without my knowledge, the SCAT tubing was left disconnected from the windshield glare shield register after an avionics upgrade.
