REFLECTOR: MT burned out pickup - fly?

Hi Sid,
Same results for me, I was at 12000, 45 minutes from home> I turned around
and with the prop going towards flat pitch I essentially had an extended
glide with reducing power all the way to keep from overspeeding. I lost
about 5000 feet over the trip home and arrived with 3000 feet altitude
remaining.
My failure was the Motor controlling pitch, replaced with a newer style
motor that required new mounting system.
