REFLECTOR: Fuel Tank Questions

The velocity is a bit tricky to get into due to all the baffles in the
strakes. I cut into my strake though because I missed a couple spots along
the leading edge and re-applied Jeffco. Sealed perfectly.
Basically the process is to grab your harbor freight multitool and cut the
top skin. This hole should be an 1/2" bigger all the way around than the
hole you will cut into the actual tank skin. This will allow you to cut a
piece of blue foam to patch the hole very easily. Very good preparation is
key in regard to sanding and getting the Jeffco everywhere. Two coats of
Jeffco applied 20-30 minutes apart should help with any pin holes. Also,
Jeffco is super sticky and nothing I've found gets it off skin so covering
with a tyvek suit and gloves at this point would be a good idea.
Email with any questions.
