REFLECTOR: Stick Height

John,

I would merely recommend considering the upholstery and any padding one places around the stick. I used a Mac foam stick handle which has a rolled edge at the lower edge. It could impinge on surrounding item with full back pull. Would hate for one to discover this when picking it up from the Upholstery shop. I made a removable Velcro attached arm rest that wraps around the top or the keel so it is stable but pops off if I need to fold the seats all the way forward. Mine is about 1.5” thick and very comfortable. Approx. 480 hrs.

My control stick measures 5.75" above the keel at the highest point. When operating PTT or trim buttons, my arm is 1.5" above the keel. I think it would be more comfortable if the stick was 1.5" shorter, so my arm rests on the keel. What height do others have. Anyone see a problem if I shorten mine by 1.5"?
