REFLECTOR: Intercom noise

I think the mag is the source of the noise.  Today I removed it and cranked the engine without starting.  I had the intercom at max vol and not one crackle.  It's a slick mag.  I have a set of used Bendix mags and I'm thinking of putting one of them on.  I'll have to get new plugs as the connector is a larger size.  Maybe I can use my existing wires.  The Bendix mags have a noise filter on them.  Could I try it on the Slick?
