REFLECTOR: concentric torque tube conversion

Lou,

I used to live in Buffalo and earned my private in Feb. 1962 at Buffalo Air Park in West Seneca. N.Y. I did the conversion. I pulled the canard and removed the elevators. I re-mounted the canard and closed the kidney shaped holes in the fuselage. To locate the spot where the concentric tube hole location is, I shown a bright light through the hinge holes on the canard and marked where the spot of light hit the fuselage on both sides. That is where the concentric tube holes are located. The separation between the canard and the fuselage is a horizontal line through the center of that hole. I'll take a picture the next time I'm at the hanger.

Well winter seems to have arrived here in Western New York. Time to remove the canard and do the torq tube conversion. I checked the Wiki but could not find any writings on this install. Has anyone ever written up anything on this? I have the original canard and would love to hear from others who have done this. Maybe even some pictures?
