REFLECTOR: Damper

I have had quite a bit of trouble with shimmy on my XL FG. Have ruined two nose gear wheel  pants.  It happens on landing, not on taxi.

I now pay compulsive attention to the nose gear tightness.  Almost  part of my normal preflight. If it steers too easily while taxiing I get worried!! I have taxied back and tightened it before takeoff.

Does the new damper use the same gear leg?
