REFLECTOR: Mag cooling

What we're talking about here is supplying cool air to the outside of the mag, not the inside.  I think supplying air to the inside would be for pressurizing the mag for high altitude.

Guys/Gals,

While cooling magnetos is/might be necessary,
make sure that the nipple you screw into the magneto is not going in too deep, since you will damage the rotor or even block it and damage the gear. There is a service bulletin about this on either slick or bendix.

the T210 I fly have a small duct from the high pressure side of the plenum pointing at the mags and fuel pump.  My Bonanza had those also. Its like 3/4"  flex duct.

Something on my list to do.  

Somethings just run better and longer if they don;t get too hot!
